SUMMARY:Restoration Volunteer Event @ Fall City Natural Area
DESCRIPTION:Please join the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe’s Habitat Restoration Team in the Fall City Natural Area on Saturday\, October 24th from 10am to 1pm as we restore riparian forest habitat! We will be removing harmful non-native plants\, replacing them with native shrubs\, and preparing the site to be planted at a following event. This work continues floodplain forest habitat improvements the Tribe and volunteers have been working at since 2020. RSVP form below! \nAs we revisit this project many years in the making\, continued attention will help us keep this restoration effort on a sustainable path. After clearing blackberry\, knotweed and reed canary in 2020\, and plantings by volunteers in 2022\, this restoration site is more ecologically diverse than when we found it. Releasing native plants from the pressure of non-native blackberry and expanding the plant palette will help this site as it grows into the future.Come learn about the continued work the Tribe is doing in the area\, how this work connects to salmon and other wildlife\, and reflect on the restoration we’ve completed together! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n RSVP\n \n Complete Waiver\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Fall City Natural Area\n2549 Neal RdFall City\, WA 98024 \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Weather\nThis event will happen rain or shine\, so please prepare for it all. SUMMARY:Planting at Three Forks Natural Area in Partnership with Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join the Snoqualmie Tribe and Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust in continuing habitat restoration at the City of Snoqualmie’s Three Forks Natural Area on Thursday\, November 5th from 10am to 1pm. Join us in keeping the momentum going as we start a new restoration patch\, planting native trees where weeds once were\, and be inspired by the progress of neighboring restoration from the past.
