Volunteer Restoration Event – Barfuse

June 11 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

You are invited to join the Snoqualmie Tribe’s Habitat Restoration Team as we restore riparian habitat on the main stem of the Snoqualmie River in Fall City on Saturday, June 11th from 10 AM to 2 PM.

This event is taking place on the same day as Fall City Days, so why not enjoy both while you’re out here!

We will be mulching one of our largest floodplain forest plantings in an effort to reduce weeds and improve water availability as these trees start their journey to establishing a forest! Join us to learn about the ecology of the area, how this work connects to salmon, and participate in some environmental action!

This event will happen rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Rain gear, boots, and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy are recommended. Tools, snacks, and gloves will be provided!

Parking will be at Chief Kanim Middle School. The event will take place in the large retired agricultural field. See the map image below for more context and directions.
