Tibbetts Creek Restoration with Gibson Ek High School & Trout Unlimited

March 31, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Snoqualmie Tribe’s ENR Department is cohosting an event with Trout Unlimited and Gibson EK High School continuing restoration on Tibbetts Creek in Lake Sammamish State Park on Friday, March 31st from 1pm to 3pm. Come help with our continuing effort to build a resilient and healthy ecosystem for salmon, beavers, and many other types of wildlife who call Tibbetts Creek their home. We will be completing the final stages of planting in this project area, removing blackberry, and mulching the planting area. All these actions together will prepare our restoration to grow for years to come. Join us to learn about native plants, the life calling this place home, and why this restoration is important to not only the Snoqualmie Tribe, but the surrounding community!

Parking is available at this location, in the large parking lot at the southwest side of the park. The event will start near the Tibbetts Creek pedestrian bridge, where plants will be laid out ready for their new homes.

This event will happen rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Rain gear, boots, and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy or sweaty are recommended. Tools, snacks, and gloves will be provided! Bring your own coffee mug or water bottle to reduce waste and keep your coffee or tea warm.

Register here to help us prepare for the event, and fill out our new waiver for the 2023 calendar year!
