Restoration Volunteer Event @ Norman Creek, Three Forks Natural Area

March 21 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Please join the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe’s Habitat Restoration Team in the Three Forks Natural Area on Saturday, March 21st from 10am to 1pm as we restore riparian habitat! We will be removing harmful non-native plants and overgrown elk protections to continue improving floodplain forest habitat at the confluence of the Middle and North Forks of the Snoqualmie River. RSVP form below!

As we revisit this project many years in the making, continued attention will help us keep this restoration effort in good health. After clearing blackberry in 2018, and plantings by volunteers in 2019, this restoration site is on a more diverse and sustainable ecological path. Releasing native plants from the pressure of non-native blackberry and elk-caging will help this site continue to grow into the future.
Come learn about the continued work the Tribe is doing in the area, how this work connects to salmon and other wildlife, and reflect on the restoration we’ve completed together!

What to Bring

Tools, gloves, water and snacks will be provided. Personally favored tools are also welcome, as we have run out of tools in the past. Bring your own coffee mug and water bottle to reduce waste and keep your hot beverage hot!

Attire

Layers, rain gear, boots, and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy are recommended. Both rain and sun are common during our events, so be prepared for anything!

Roadside parking is available onsite, and the event will take place in the field on the west side of the intersection of 428th Ave SE and SE 92nd St. Search the address 9200 428th Ave SE, North Bend, WA 98045 for directions to the site. Walking west from the intersection, walking around the red gate and through the field, you’ll find our event tent and restoration site! See the map above for details.

Please fill out the RSVP form linked at the top of this page. Gathering RSVP’s helps us prepare for hosting the event.
As it is still early in 2026, please fill out a new annual waiver if you haven’t. It can be completed in the RSVP or by clicking here to open a new window. Whether you’re new to volunteering with us or an old familiar, a waiver signature is required to volunteer, and you only need to fill out one for each calendar year!
