Volunteer Maintenance @ Norman Creek, Three Forks Natural Area

Please join the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe’s Habitat Restoration Team in the Three Forks Natural Area on Saturday, March 8th from 10am to 1pm as we restore riparian habitat! We will be removing harmful non-native plants to continue improving floodplain forest habitat at the confluence of the Middle and North Forks of the Snoqualmie River. RSVP form below!
As we revisit this project many years in the making, continued maintenance will help us keep this restoration effort off in good health. After clearing the blackberry on site in 2018, and being planted by volunteers in 2019, this restoration site is on a more diverse and sustainable ecological path. Releasing our plantings from the pressure of non-native blackberry will help this site continue to grow into the future. Come learn about the continued work the Tribe is doing in the area, how this work connects to salmon and other wildlife, and reflect on the restoration we’ve completed together!

This event will happen rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Rain gear, boots, and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy are recommended. Bring your own water bottle and coffee mug to help us reduce waste. Tools, gloves, water and snacks will be provided! In the case of dangerous weather conditions, we will send out an email with updates or cancellations.
Roadside parking is available onsite, and the event will take place in the field on the west side of the intersection of 428th Ave SE and SE 92nd St. See the attached map for more context. Search the address 9200 428th Ave SE, North Bend, WA 98045 for directions to the site. Walking west from here, you’ll find our tent and restoration site just across the field! See the map above for details.
Please fill out the RSVP form (also linked below). This helps us prepare for the event. Welcoming us all to 2025, we have a new annual waiver that can be filled out in the RSVP below, or by clicking here to open a new window. Whether you’re new to volunteering with us or an old familiar, the new waiver is required to volunteer and you only need to fill out one for the whole 2025 calendar year!
